I'm Chloe! I'm a plant-based yogi and human of Montreal.
My passions are in human connection, ecological design, sustainable food & lifestyle and community wellness, all of which I believe contribute to social and environmental sustainability. My mission is to create opportunities to nourish our connections to each other and to the world around us.
This website is both a collection of the projects and organizations that I have worked on or with, as well as place for me to share my thoughts for others to read and digest. It's a documentation of the things that I do or have done;
A Collection of Doings.
Here's a bit of my story:
After graduating McGill University, I spent over a year working as a psychosocial consultant at a wellness centre in Montreal. I worked individually with clients to empower them to navigate and overcome personal challenges. During my time with PsySanté, I also designed a Social Skills Program for teenagers and ran the 8-week program in the spring of 2016.
Last January I decided to spend the year exploring and experimenting with alternative lifestyles. I reject the idea that we should accept the way things are without questioning them. I designed a wellness retreat for an intentional community in the Panamanian Jungle, I worked on an alternative education startup in Brazil that adopted a co-working/co-living model, and then spent the summer living with a nomadic artist collective, setting up a pyramid structure in cities across the USA that opened space for free community programming. These experiences led me to visit and stay in communes, housing co-ops, earthships and tiny home communities all of which contributed to a pivot in my interests towards creative, sustainable use of space.
I returned to Montreal in the fall to join Breather, an organization that is re-imagining how people access private, flexible and creative workspace. I've been assisting Breather members across all our markets (Canada, USA, Europe) to ensure they have a seamless experience with our network of beautiful spaces.
Throughout these experiences I have also been pouring love and energy into a nonprofit organization I cofounded three years ago in Montreal called Vent Over Tea. Our organization is an on-demand, in-person listening service where people can book a free meet-up with one of our trained listeners in a local cafe. With this service, we seek to provide our community with the opportunity to connect to other humans in a simple, casual and authentic way.
